MG Motor India adopts wind solar hybrid energy, becomes first passenger car company

MG Motor India has partnered with sustainability partner Cleanmax Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd. Under this partnership, MG's manufacturing plant will get 4.85 MW of wind-solar hybrid power. MG plans to reduce carbon-di-oxide by about 2 lakh metric tonnes in the next 15 years

The problem of air pollution has become common now. Various methods are being adopted to deal with this. Towards this end, MG Motor India has partnered with Cleanmax Enviro Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd, Asia's most trusted sustainability partner. Under this partnership, MG's manufacturing plant will get 4.85 MW of wind-solar hybrid power. MG plans to reduce carbon-di-oxide by about 2 lakh metric tonnes in the next 15 years, which would be equivalent to planting more than 1.3 million trees.

MG Mortus India is working tirelessly to promote EVs in the country. In this sequence, the company launched its first SUV MG ZS EV. This electric SUV was launched with the 'Change What You Can' initiative. The company believes that if people adopt EVs soon, the country will move towards zero-emissions. With this, there will be a reduction in air pollution, as well as there will be less impact on the pockets of the people. Which encouraged people to adopt zero-emission vehicles.

CleanMax is the first renewable energy company to set up a wind solar hybrid park in Gujarat for the sale of clean energy to private consumers and corporates. Its plan is to increase it to 150 MW by the year 2022. MG's Halol facility will start drawing power from Cleanmax's Hybrid Park at Rajkot in February 2022 and will continue for 15 years.
